Leong dishes up a music treat
MALAYSIAN singer Fish Leong is called the"queen (天后) of love songs". Many of her songs, like Wings of Love (《燕尾蝶》), Tranquil Summer and Courage (《勇气》) have become popular karaoke hits.
Earlier this month, Leong released her latest album J'adore (《崇拜》). From leading track (单曲) Adore to the Unbearable Lightness of Being, the 29-year-old shows she is still sticking to (坚持) her trademark love songs. "The songs are so beautiful that they move me to tears," she said.
When asked what love means to her, Leong said: "Love is like two spoons in a bowl. No matter how the meal tastes – bitter or sweet – we should share it with our partner."
Leong became a singer when she was 19. She has enjoyed singing since she was young. She took part in local singing competitions and won many.
Being a singer means she has to travel to different places to do recording and promotional (宣传) work. But Leong never complains about her busy schedule. "I like to travel to other cities because it gives me a chance to enjoy local cuisines (菜肴)," she said.
Leong also likes to cook. It can take hours, but she said it's great fun. She often invites her family and friends to try her dishes. "When I see the big smile on their faces, I am very happy," she said.
